George Soros is funding the independence of Catalonia
In 2014, George Soros’s Foundation, Open Society Initiative for Europe, funded organizations fighting for the independence of Catalonia. This is what La Vangardia revealed last year (2016).
According to internal documents the Soros Foundation provided:
http://www.voltairenet.org/local/cac...puce-cebf5.gif 27,049 dollars to the Consell de Diplomàcia Pública de Catalunya (Catalonia’s Council for Public Diplomacy in Catalonia), an organization that Catalonia’s Generalitat [Translator’s note: this is the institutional framework for Catalonia’s independence] established with different private partners; and - 24 973 dollars to the Centre d’Informació i Documentació Internacionals a Barcelona (the Barcelona Centre for International Information and Documentation, which we will call “BCIID”). BCIID is an independent think tank.
The BCIID is playing the role of the Premier Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs for the “Generalitat of Catalonia”. It is defending every issue from the same perspective as Hillary Clinton.

Its basically through Diplocat, the "paradiplomacy" (combination of diplomacy and media propaganda) wing of the Generalitat. The Catalan separatists support mass-immigration as benefitting the "de-Hispanization" of Catalonia, which is one reason for Soros' support (as well as his efforts to destabilize and demoralize Spain, like other European countries).

What gets me with these Catalan separatist clowns is when they say stuff like 'Catalonia is not Spain' they're obviously lying. Whether they know that they are lying or not is a moot point but what isn't moot is the fact that Catalonia was a part of the Crown of Aragon which as we all know was one of the constituencies of what became the Spanish state when the process of territorial consolidation ended during the lifetime of Charles V.
What do they think Catalonia was prior to, say, 1939 when Franco put the boots to their ideological ancestors? If so where was it if it's not a part of Spain? Located on the Moon with a separate existence from the rest of the country? Idiocy. That'd be like an American from Virginia making the claim that Virginia was never a part of the US and has a separate existence from it altogether-even though the earliest English colonies are located in Virginia at places like Jamestown and the brief colony at Roanoke.
