Centralism and Napoleonic bureaucratism are truly destructive to any nation and to all people. It has been especially harmful in my nation Brazil which discourages the different regions from developing independently culturally and commercially. These godless socialist leaders want the nation to be an amorphous blob with a watered down uniform culture even though our great national variety is what makes Brazil great. The Gaucho culture of Rio Grande do Sul should be preserved and nurtured as much as the traditions of Minas Gerais, Amazonas, Bahia and the Northeast. The nation, be it Spain, USA, Brazil etc should be a Mosaic not a melting pot! Regional autonomy is the way to go.

It is something that we should be proud of. The region of land was fertile and abundant of minerals and plants.
