Never mind!
Never mind!
Fakery in neo-paganism isn't a new thing; I used to be one of them, and I know the kind of nonsense that they engage in and believe in. I dabbled in Asatru (aka Odinism) for years until my common sense told me what a crock it was, trying to resurrect the worship of dead deities.
Regards.
As the article indicates, muck from the 1,800's...
”. John Henry Newman
Muck from the 1800s that's been taken as representing true and hidden wisdom that's been passed down from ancient times, which isn't true at all. A great deal of what modern pagans believe in, and practice, is based upon very scant historical evidence. A few try to make an effort to be as accurate as possible, but.. These sorts of people seem to be in the minority; most neopagans just dwell in a world of wishful thinking and make-believe.
I have a particular dislike of Wicca and things which steal from authentic pagan mythology.
I don't like the theft of Celtic imagery or names. These people who call themselves "druids" and go clothed in white to Stonehenge or dance naked in woods, hugging trees and praying to the Earth Goddess have really no clue. We don't know for certain what Celtic religious practices were like, but we have some clues from Christian writings, pre-Christian classical writers, the pre-Christian oral traditions of the native pagan cultures themselves and archaelogy. I think it's fair to say that they were a rather unpleasant and bloody affair.
It is fashionable among the New Age movement to try to debunk things such as human sacrifice. But there is too much collaborating evidence from a variety of sources to sweep it under the carpet. Most New Age hippies would baulk even at the idea of the tarbhfheis ritual, far less the Triple-Fold ritual killing of humans.
If you are going to do something, at least do it properly. And then be prepared to serve a lengthy prison sentence afterwards![]()

I wouldn't be surprised.
"And, as we Catholics know, Western Civilization is Roman Civilization, first classical Roman Civilization, then Roman Catholic Civilization, as the Christians preserved and carried classical Roman Civilization to the world in a Christianized form. That is, after all, why we are described as Roman Catholics."
Abortion is a present day version of human sacrifice. We're back to the time when they offered babies to the god Moloc.

I read of more than one Feminist declaring that abortion is a modern day sacrament.
I think you can guess the nature of whatever religion considers infanticide a sacrament.
