Hello Everyone
As someone who is interested in the subject of politics, especially politics of the right I have watched with great interest the growth in politics of various countries of right wing parties and politicians that are opposed to liberal globalism. As you all know politics in much of the world has been dominated by parties of the left that follow socialism and parties and candidates supposedly of the right who support liberal globalism and who are only called "right" because they give some amount of opposition to socialism.
In my own country we have had the Brexit movement and the victory of the Leave vote in the referendum. In the US there has been the election of Donald Trump. In central Europe there are governments in power representing this trend, in particular the governments of Orban in Hungary and the Law and Justice party in Poland. In Western and Northern Europe there are parties representing this particular trend such as Marine Le Pen in France, the Sweden Democrats of Sweden and the AfD of Germany.
As well as the recent events in the United States I am interested to see how much this trend also applies to other parts of the New World. In New Zealand there is the New Zealand First party representing this tendency. In Brazil politicians like Jair Bolsonaro and writers like Olavo de Carvalho seem to elements of the same trend. However I have not found signs of people in Spain or the Spanish speaking Americas representing this same trend. Of course defeats of the left in places like Argentina and Peru (and hopefully Ecuador and Chile soon) are welcome news. However the likes of Macri and Kuczynski (as well as Pinera and Lasso) seem to be much part of the liberal globalist tendency. Is there any significant opposition to this tendency from the right in either Spain or the Spanish speaking Americas?
I though this looked like a good place to ask that question. Would be interested in any information on this subject Thanks
