I believe that Aquinas talks somewhat about the entirety of the Church as being God's partner in his creative efforts. As the Body of Christ the Church has the responsibility to continue God's activities in the world; many skeptical wonder why there are no divine miracles, yet they can't seem to see the forest for the trees. The miracle is already there in the form of the Church and its activity in the world. I've wondered a bit about the importance of the laity, especially the active layperson.
