Yes, liberty is a very Christian concept, but it needs to be qualified properly for it to be correctly understood.

Exactly, and liberty does not mean democracy at all as North Americans (and Europeans) claim. In fact, democracy (i.e. the party system) usually means just the opposite of liberty and Christianity. Christian Conservative Americans (from the U.S.) contradict themselves by admiting that Obama is a tyrant (which he clearly is) and believing at the same time that democracy still means freedom. Obama's tyranny is perfectly democratic and would have never been possible without democracy.
Citizens of the US have become convinced into believing that democracy is authentically the American political system, neverminding that the country didn't begin that way. A democracy appeals to the lowest common denominator, the mob, and this is something the Founders of the US wanted to avoid at all costs- they were well aware of the turmoils of the political systems in Greece and Rome.
"And, as we Catholics know, Western Civilization is Roman Civilization, first classical Roman Civilization, then Roman Catholic Civilization, as the Christians preserved and carried classical Roman Civilization to the world in a Christianized form. That is, after all, why we are described as Roman Catholics."
