I think it has been properly shown that the dark ages weren't so dark except in the minds of liberals. The narrator of the video has the secular view- to no fault of his own since the secularist view of history is the accepted defaul- that classical civilization was superior to feudal civilization that followed it, i.e. "the dark ages," and that there was no continuity between latter Roman civilization and the time frame of the feudal lords in Western Europe. The man has secular (scientific) view of history- but he deviates from the usual "barbarians destroyed the Roman Empire" and points the finger at the Muslims (honestly- how many will do this when the Muslims are typically portrayed as cultured and civilized as compared to the scruffy Christian barbarians of Western Europe?).
